To register your charity for Google for Non-profits, you will need a charity digital exchange account and a Google account (this could be a Gmail account or the one you use for YouTube, for example).
Step 1: If you don't already have a charity digital exchange account, first sign up for free on the Charity Digital-Exchange site:
Click on 'Getting Started'. You will be prompted to create a user account first and then, once completed, you will be sent an email with instructions to register your charity. There is more info on the registration process here.
Once you've completed the registration process, you can then go on to obtain a validation token, which is necessary to enroll for Google for Non-profits products.
Step 2: Sign up for Google for Non-profits.
To do this, log into your Google account and then click here: https://www.google.com/nonprofits/account/signup/gb
You will see this:
Click on 'Get a validation token' and you will be taken here:
Click 'Already a member' and the following will appear:
Enter your tt-exchange login details. 'Member name' refers to your tt-exchange username. Your password is also the same password you use to log into tt-exchange.
Click 'log in' and you'll see this screen:
Confirm the details are correct and then click 'view validation tokens' and then your validation token will appear:
Click 'copy token' and go back to the Google For Nonprofits signup page (this one).
Once you've entered your validation token and other details, the next screen you see will be this.
Complete the membership application, and if all goes well, you will be directed here:
Click continue and you've enrolled!
Step 3: Choose your Google for Nonprofits tools to receive
If you've followed the previous steps, the next page you see should look like this:
You can choose to take tools available. Here, we chose Google Ad Grants:
Fill in the form that appears here. Once your application has been received, you will hear about your enrollment being activated by Google within a couple of days:
That should be it!
